Our management team consists of established professionals with more than 100 years of combined experience in manure management, soil sciences, industrial design, and worldwide agricultural product deployment. Our comprehensive approach to managing organic waste throughout its entire value chain brings benefits to local economies and environments.

Aveterra brings the tools, technology and resources to help develop a complete solution for each customer and community.

Mollie Bogardus, CEO

Mollie has a 35-year career in the equine industry and more than 8 years in composting technology and organic waste processing. Mollie holds an MBA with a focus on Sustainable Business and is a nationally recognized expert in sustainable composting with a true understanding of the value of farms within communities.

Caitlin Price Youngquist, CSO

Caitlin holds MS and PhD degrees in Soil Science from Washington State University, specializing in compost. Previous research projects include on-farm livestock mortality composting, fate of antibiotics in biosolids compost, and use of compost as an alternative livestock bedding.

Walt McGraw, CMO

Walt enjoyed a long career as an award-winning writer and producer for television and then as a communications and marketing leader for global companies before settling down as a full-time consultant. He is a truth-teller to Fortune 500 companies, an instigation engine for a handful of startups, and a grassroots conservationist.

Jaime Chiado, Marketing Manager

Jaime graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Communications/Advertising, emphasizing in business and marketing.  She has worked as an ad exec for a local Seattle ad agency as well as an advertising officer for a national financial institution. She lives locally on Bainbridge Island and feels passionate about the environment and the importance of education, outreach and communication.

Paul Andersson, Operations Manager (San Juan County)

Paul holds an MBA in Sustainable Business. He has proven himself capable at growing young, ambitious programs to maturity. Paul has worked in government, education, non-profit, start-up and corporate entities, serving the needs of each organization uniquely. Paul is heading up Aveterra’s composting projects in San Juan County.
